Residence Life & Learning Hall

For the first time in 45 years, Heidelberg students have new “digs” to call home. The new facility is a 120-student residence hall and a 9,000 sq. ft. student commons area for all students.  President Rob Huntington described the Residence Life and Learning Hall as “an engaging facility for student activities and gatherings. It has strengthened the student experience at Heidelberg and added substantive value to answering the question, ‘Why Heidelberg?”

The hall includes five 24-student “pods,” each with 12 students per floor  surrounding an open, two-story living/gathering space. An important part of the project is the student commons area, filled with a variety of offerings that entices students to gather. The commons is attached to the residence hall but constructed as its own space and features a cafe pub, great room, study spaces, meeting and conference rooms, along with a patio for outdoor dining and gatherings.
