Belmont Abbey has broken ground in Belmont, North Carolina. After over 12 months of design, documentation, and permit meetings, the project is ready to begin construction. As part of this exciting accomplishment, the Gaston Gazette has recently published an article outlining the new project.

The project is composed of two buildings that will fit seamlessly within the historic campus. To quote the newspaper: “Each identical, side-by-side building would include 64 two-person dormitory rooms, meaning the project would produce 128 total rooms capable of housing as many as 256 students. They would be built at the southwestern corner of the campus, on partially wooded land that overlooks the college’s baseball and softball fields..”
