This project features the design of a new 75,000 sq. ft., full service, medical clinic that offers a full complement of outpatient services to the veteran population in northeast Ohio. The targeted result of the Parma Outpatient Clinic is to improve access, expand services, increase utilization, and improve customer satisfaction.
The new state-of-the-art facility offers numerous health care options such as podiatry, optometry, lab testing, mental health care, substance abuse treatment, radiology neurology, dermatology, physical therapy and pharmacy services.
The building is LEED Silver level and is extremely energy efficient with its active and passive integration.
This large facility features a central core volume with the primary facilities, along with an extended entrance canopy for incoming pateints. Secondary spaces are articulated through clean and simple volumes.
The entrance is pronounced with a large double-height entrance canopy proportional with the entire building. Brick and stone was used in the construction of the canopy - as well as the entire facility.
The front desk is on axis with the central double-height lobby space. Light pours in from above through a 360-degree clerestory window.
