The Tallmadge District has two distinct goals for their new high school, 1) to create the best environment for academic achievement while incorporating flexible spaces and 2) to maintain the community's heritage.

Inspired by the city's historic "Tallmadge Circle" the greek

revival circular design honors the city's architecture. The center rotunda with clerestory windows serves as the commons area. From the commons, traffic is directed to "avenues" separating academics, arts, and athletics into wings. This design minimizes disruption in the academic spaces.

The facility also features a 600 seat Performing Arts Auditorium with a "Black Box" Drama Room complete with sound/lighting systems and a separate after-hours entrance to serve community events. This 170,000 SF facility also features a multi-purpose room which can be divided for testing, tutoring or community use, specialized spaces for a Career Tech program and dedicated art and music spaces.
