This project featured the renovation and adaptive reuse of a former utility company technical training center. The 14,880 sq. ft. facility required complete interior and exterior renovation to house not only an Ophthalmology Clinic, but also a new Cataract Surgery Center.

 

The program is based upon a high efficiency patient centered approach to the delivery of eye related medical care. The design maintains 6 examination rooms, however, a series of smaller pre-exam testing and screening spaces have replaced the once multi-function exam room, allowing more patients to be engaged in the care process, rather that waiting for extended periods in the initial reception area.
