When
complete, this 130,000 sq. ft. addition to the existing Municipal Center will
include four courtrooms with support spaces, address the separate circulations
for the public, staff, and
inmate
traffic in the building; and contain a new 64-car parking garage. The three-story
building will feature exterior finishes that blend with the existing City Municipal
Building, and will reflect the traditional municipal-building aesthetic in a
modern, urban design, while maintaining a dignified context for the practice
of justice. The project is on hold pending funding.
