The
history of MKC dates back to 1924 when Charles J. Marr opened his architectural
practice in New Philadelphia, Ohio. The firm became Marr, Knapp &
Crawfis Architects in 1953 with the addition of partners James Knapp
and James Crawfis. In 1997 the firm officially became MKC Associates,
Inc.
Our
firm's heritage is often brought to life by the opportunity to work
on buildings originally designed by our founder 80 years ago. As we
work from Mr. Marr's original drawings, we are reminded of our responsibility
to create facilities today which will continue to exhibit excellence
for generations to come.
Mr.
Marr's passion for his clients and their communities was demonstrated
by his personal involvement in every project. Today MKC continues that
tradition through principal-owner involvement in every project. As we
celebrate more than eight decades of service, we believe Mr. Marr would
be proud of MKC's lasting commitment to clients and their communities.
