The history of MKC dates to 1924 when Charles J. Marr opened his architectural practice in New Philadelphia, Ohio. The firm became Marr, Knapp & Crawfis Architects in 1953 with the addition of partners James Knapp and James Crawfis. In 1997 the firm officially became MKC Associates, Inc.
Our firm's heritage is often brought to life by the opportunity to work on buildings originally designed by our founder 80 years ago. As we work from Mr. Marr's original drawings, we are reminded of our responsibility to create facilities today which will continue to serve well for generations to come.
As we celebrate more than eight decades of service, we believe that Mr. Marr would be proud of MKC's lasting commitment to our clients and their communities!
