THis project, scheduled for completion in 2006, features replacement of the hospital surgery facilities as well as expansion of the existing emergency department. The program addresses a shift towards 80% ambulatory surgeries and emphasizes flexibility to accommodate a future Cardiac program. The location of the addition required internal reorganization of the existing Emergency Department a new entrance drive for the existing professional office building.

The 66,400 sq. ft. addition features the following:

Ambulatory Pre-op and Recovery spaces, Surgery Waiting Area, new Surgery program that includes six new operating suites to accommodate General, Orthopedic, Neurological and Cysto procedures, a new Endoscopy Suite that includes two new procedure rooms to accommodate minor procedures and a PACU that supports seventeen post anesthesia patients and six pre-op patients.
